Nalgonda: The in-charge Joint Collector, S Venkata Rao, directed the officials of education department to conduct ‘Swatchh Schools’ programme from December 17 to 19 in all the 3,500 schools in the district to clean the premises.
Speaking at a meeting with the officials of education department, rural water supply and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan at Zilla Parishad meeting hall here on Sunday, Venkata Rao said that a nine-member committee with the personnel of revenue, education departments and MPDO would be formed at mandal level by Monday evening. Each mandal should be divided into four clusters and the committee should visit two or three schools each day. They should examine the progress of the works of the newly constructing toilets and status of existing toilets and sanitation in the schools.
ZP Chief Executive Officer Mahender Reddy, RWS Superintendent of Engineer and officials of education department attended the meeting.
