Hyderabad: In what looks like an attempt to bury hatchet with his Andhra Pradesh counterpart, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is understood to have decided to meet the former in Vijayawada on Monday.

According to official sources, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office has given an appointment to Telangana CMO officials for the meeting of two Telugu Chief Ministers on Monday afternoon.

With this, Chief Minister

K Chandrashekar Rao will meet Chandrababu Naidu and invite him for the Ayutha Maha Chandi Yagam, being organised from December 23. Sources said Chandrashekar Rao would take a flight from Begumpet Airport on Monday at 11.30 am and would land in Vijayawada to meet the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister.

It is believed that Chandrashekar Rao will meet Naidu at his Lingamaneni Guest House and will invite him for the Yagam scheduled to be held in Erravalli village in Medak district from December 23 to 27.

Chandrashekar Rao is also expected to visit Indrakeeladri, the abode of goddess Kanakadurga, on the occasion and offer ornaments to the deity as he had announced earlier. After performing pujas and taking blessings from the temple priests, Chandrashekar Rao will get back to Hyderabad by evening.

It may be recalled here that Chandrashekar Rao obliged to Naidu’s invitation and attended Amaravathi capital city foundation laying function in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and others. With this, it is clear that unmindful of the previous ‘cash-for-vote’ case that rattled two States for some time, both the leaders are trying to avoid inconvenience and create some cordial atmosphere between the two States.

Chandrashekar Rao invited all bigwigs of Indian politics for the Yagam to be conducted at his farm house. As President Pranabh Mukharjee is scheduled to stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad from December 18 to 31, he might attend the Yagam too, it is learnt. The Yagam is going to be the second biggest in the country.
