Armoor upgraded as new revenue division

Nizamabad: The State government on Tuesday issued the preliminary notification upgrading Armoor as a new revenue division in Nizamabad district. Revenue department’s Principle Secretary B.R. Meena issued the notification published in the district gazette.

In a prèss release here on Tuesday, the Principal Secretary said that the State government proposed to form the new revenue division for the convenience of the people. In this revenue division, there were eight mandals in Armoor and Balkonda Assembly constituencies. They are Armoor, Balkonda, Nandipet, Velpoor, Bheemgal, Kammarpally, Morthad and Makloor mandals. The existing Nizamabad Revenue division has six mandals and they are Nizamabad (Rural and Urban), Ditchpally, Dharpally, Sirikonda and Jakranpally mandals.

The Navipet mandal is included in to Bodhan Revenue Division from the existing Nizamabad revenue division.

B R Meena said that if anybody has any objection regarding the formation of new Armoor revenue division, they should file their objections in a written form to the District Collector within a stipulated period of 30 days from the issue of the notification, he added.
