Nizamabad: District Collector Yogita Rana said that the State government would distribute new clothes to 9,000 poor Christians in the district on Wednesday at the Rajiv Gandhi auditorium in the town as part of Christmas celebrations.

Participating in a video conference conducted by the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) Remond Peter for the District Collectors on Tuesday to review the Christmas programmes, Yogita Rana told the CCLA that these programmes would be conducted in all nine constituencies in Nizamabad district On December 19, the State government would conduct the Christmas celebrations at the premises of the Collectorate.

Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, all MLA’s and MLC’s, Mayor, ZP Chairman would take part in the program to extend their greetings to Christians, the District Collector added.

The Minority Welfare Department Officer Prem Kumar would make the arrangements for this program.
