KCR is performing this Yagam to fulfill his vow for grant of separate statehood to Telangana. On Day 1, thousands of people from across the state flocked the venue. KCR is expected to incur Rs 6 to 7 crore to which friends and well wishers have donated.
Chief Minister and his wife wife Shobha are performing the Yagam now.
