Hyderabad: The BC organisations led by R Krishnaiah, TDP MLA are gearing up for rasta roko protests across the State on December 27 and a massive dharna at Indira Park on December 30 opposing GO No 8 that was issued by the Telangana State government recently. Speaking to media after an all party meeting, the Backward Classes Welfare Association chief said, “With the inclusion of Hijras and orphans, KCR was insulting BCs. If he has so much concern for them let him include them in OC category and give MLA tickets,” he said.
Congress leader Ponnam Prabhakar said that KCR was trying to suppress the BC community. If he does not take corrective measures they would teach him a lesson. Another BC leader Sambasiva Rao said there was a conspiracy by Telangana government to divide the BCs.
Even after 18 months, KCR government did not introduce any welfare scheme for the BCs, he said. Former Professor of OU, PL Vishweshwar Rao, Aravind Kumar Goud, TDP leader, Sharada Goud, president BC welfare association women’s wing, various leaders of employees and students associations took part in the meeting.
