Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's Chandi Yagam that is being organised at his farmhouse in Erravalli of Medak district has entered Day 4 on Saturday. KCR and his wife are participating in the rituals Mrutyunjaya Homam, Kumari Suhasini Puja and Koti Sahasranamam that are organised by the Ritwiks today.
Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar, Supreme Court justice NV Ramana and Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah were among the prominent dignitatries who attended the Yagam on Saturday. The devotee rush has increased at the Yagam site owing to the long weekend and resulted in a three-km-long traffic hold up. More queue lines were set up at the Yagam venue in order to regulate the incessant inflow of the devotees. With Sunday being the final day of the Yagam, more pilgrim rush is expected.
