Khammam: The ‘Swecha Organisation’ representative Miryala Santhosh urged the Netigens not to believe the messages that have been appearing in Facebook about the usage of ‘Free Basics website’.

To create awareness among the people, using Internet, about fake messages on the Free Basics website by the Facebook, the representatives of the Organisation took out a rally from Yellandu crossroad to bus stand here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Santhosh alleged that the Facebook organisers were trying to cheat the Netigens by giving fake publicity on TV channels and newspapers that the Free Basics will make the Internet to reach even to the people living in distant places and to poor people. “The Facebook is providing only a few sites that are tied with it. Due to this, small sites, either at the starting stage or about to start, but highly useful to the people, will suffer a lot in the market,” he added.

He urged the people, who use internet to send Emails to TRAI and organise campaign programmes, to stop splitting of the Internet which is highly useful to the people now-a-days.

The Organisation representatives Bharath, Murali, Vinod, Akhil and Suresh participated in the rally along with others.
