The two judge PIL bench of the High Court comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice S V Bhatt on Monday closed a writ plea on the Chilkur Balaji Temple.

The writ petition is filed by Nagila Srinivas complaining that the managing committee of the temple had failed to have its account audited in accordance with law for the last six years.

The government, however, filed the counter stating that the accounts were audited recently. The bench recorded that since the purpose of the petition was achieved, no further orders need to be made. The bench accordingly closed the petition.
