Ambedkar statue damaged; MRPS stages dharna
The MRPS members on Friday staged dharna on Kodad Mellacheruvu road protesting against the desecration of the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar at Gudibanda of Kodad mandal.
Nalgonda: The MRPS members on Friday staged dharna on Kodad-Mellacheruvu road protesting against the desecration of the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar at Gudibanda of Kodad mandal.
On Thursday night, unidentified persons have partially damaged the statue in which the spectacles were broken and the steps at the statue were damaged. The locals noticed this on Friday morning.
Protesting against the vandalisation of Ambedkar statue, the MRPS members staged dharna demanding immediate arrest of the culprits and stringent action to be taken against them. Later they washed the Ambedkar statue with milk.
Speaking on the occasion, Gudibanda village Sarpanch E Ramanamma strongly condemned the action of the unidentified persons and demanded the police to find them and to take stringent action against them.
MPTC Pushpavathi, MRPS leaders S Venkateshwarlu , P Raja Rao, P Nagaraju and others were present.
