​Khammam: Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said that the people in the town would not face any problem relating to the supply of drinking water in the future.

Inaugurating the Rs 74-crore worth Comprehensive Protected Water Supply (CPWS) Project here on Wednesday, he said that the State government was focused on mitigating the drinking water crisis in the State in proportion to the growing population.

“The CPWS project was designed to meet the needs of the town even in 2026,” the Minister said, assuring the people of supplying drinking water every day henceforth.

Laying the foundation stone for the construction of a road at an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore in Maddulapalli village, the Minister appealed to the locals to take part in the developmental works irrespective of political lines. It may be mentioned here that the Minister had adopted Maddulapalli village previously.

He was accompanied by MLC Balasani Lakshminarayana and Zilla Parishad Chairperson G Kavitha.
