Rabid dog attacks 24 children

At least 24 children sustained grievous injuries when a rabid dog attacked them while they were playing in Asifabad town on Wednesday night. Parents of the injured children said on Thursday that the rabid dog attacked the children while they were playing in their locality.Â

The injured were rushed to the government hospital. The hospital staff said that the injured were in the age group of 4 to 14 years. Divya, Sirisha, Akshaya, Deepika, Subhanjan and others of Sandeep Nagar, Sameer of Kantha colony and several children from Kasabwadi and Bazaarwadi were among the injured. They are undergoing treatment at the government hospital.
