Nizamabad: An in-depth knowledge of Telangana history was important to clear the Group 1 and II examinations conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) successfully, said Telangana writer and analyst V Prakash Addressing the prospective candidates at an awareness camp organised by the Telangana Group-1 Officers Association at the Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium, in the town on Sunday, Prakash urged them to make good use of this opportunity and come out in flying colours in the competitive examinations.

Prakash said that the Telangana State government was now issuing many notifications for recruitment thorough the TSPSC. He said that the TSPSC had introduced changes in the examination pattern by giving priority to the history and culture of Telangana He advised the candidates to thoroughly study the history of Telangana to clear the examination successful.

In his address, Association president M Chandrashekar Goud said that their objective in conducting the awareness camps in all the Telangana districts was to create awareness among Group-I aspirants and encourage them to join the government service. He said their Association already conducted such awareness camps at Nalgonda, and Karimnagar districts to enlighten the aspirants and now was conducting at Nizamabad.

Goud said that within another few days, they would conduct the seminars in all Telangana districts. He said that their Association members would create awareness about the syllabus, methods of preparation and the the present Group-I and Group-II officers would interact with students.

Telangana Freedom fighter and former MP M. Narayana Reddy said that now only bifurcations takes place in group-1 posts and Telangana government gradually issuing notifications to groups services, in future TSPSC should increase these posts, un-employed youth should utilize this opportunity, he added.

A larger number of candidates aspiring for Group-I services participated in the seminar and raised several questions. District Transport Commissioner Durga Prameela, District Treasuries Service Officer Ramu and other Group-1 Officers were present on the occasion.
