Karimnagar: Terming student leader Rohit Vemula, who committed suicide in University of Hyderabad and JNU Students’ Union president
Kanhaiha Kumar, who has been lodged in Tihar Jail, as real patriots, the State CPI expressed concern saying that undeclared emergency
conditions were prevailing in the country. Speaking to the media here on Sunday, CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said the
suicide of Rohit and attack on Kanhaiah Kumar on the court premises were the best examples of undeclared emergency in the country.

Demanding that democracy-loving people condemn the ugly incidents taking place in the country, Chada alleged that the attack on
Kanhaiah Kumar on the court premises was nothing but an attack on democracy and an attack on the Goddess of Justice.
He also alleged that the police were behaving like sycophants of the ruling BJP. It was atrocious on the part of the RSS, who never
participated in the freedom movement, to state that they were patriots.
