Nizamabad: The State government has released Rs 51 lakh for agriculture allied departments like Animal husbandry, horticulture, sericulture and fisheries departments to implement Agriculture Technology Management Activities (ATMA) scheme in the district, said Additional Joint Collector Dr Rajaram.
AJC Rajaram presided over the first ATMA governing body meeting at the district Collectorate here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion Rajaram said that the new governing body of ATMA formed in the district and District Collector is the Chairman.
He said for the ATMA activities, the government has sanctioned Rs 51 lakh and conducted various programmes with Rs 39 lakh, Rs 29,000 at 12 blocks, like Nizamabad, Bodhan, Varni, Banswada, Bichkunda, Yellareddy, Kamareddy, Domakonda, Armoor, Morthad, Bheemgal and Ditchpally mandals. The AJC suggested the board members to inform the Collector if they want any changes in the schemes or any amendments. ATMA in-charge PD Narsimha, Governing Body members, agriculture scientists and other officials participated in the programme.
