Announcing the decision, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said that the summer holidays that were originally supposed to begin from April 23 have been advanced by a week to April 16. The schools are set to re-open on June 13. The Minister added that the school managements who don't follow the summer holiday schedule will be facing stern consequences.
