Telangana is likely to witness the heat wave conditions continuing for the next two days as the maximum temperature in most parts of the state have crossed the normal temperature.

Telangana is likely to witness the heat wave conditions continuing for the next two days as the maximum temperature in most parts of the state have crossed the normal temperature. Due to the scorching heat wave conditions, over 100 deaths have been reported in the state.

The Met officials have warned that thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the state. Despite a dip witnessed in the past 24 hours, the daytime temperatures are recorded above 40 in all districts except in Hyderabad.

Telangana government who were instructed by the High Court to intensify the measures to prevent sunstroke deaths has taken up the initiative to create awareness among people in the state over preventive measures of the heat wave and sunstroke deaths. A web portal has been launched that would issue heat wave alerts to public, make them aware of the sun stroke preventive measures and also maintain statistics of historic Temperature trends in Telangana.

In the case of any heat wave prevalence, people will be issued a warning through SMS and users will be provided possible resources available in case of emergency with a helpline number.
