Thummala played a vital role in the TRS victory in the Khammam municipal corporation polls and also another MLC will take his place if he wins the Palair byelections.
Telangana IT, Panchayati and Municipal administration minister KT Rama Rao who has been given the responsibility of the poll campaign expressed confidence on TRS victory in the bypolls. Highlighting the reports on various surveys, KTR also mentioned the commitments made by TRS government under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
