Hyderabad: The RTC JAC on Monday served strike notice to the management for failing to address their grievances including payment arrears, leave encashment and other perks.

The JAC leaders gave the strike notice to the TSRTC JMD G V Ramana Rao at Bus Bhavan on Monday. JAC chairman P Kamaal Reddy said that the unions had entered into a pay scale agreement in front of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on May 13, 2015.

He said that it was agreed upon to provide 50 per cent of dues with 8.75 per cent interest in the form of bonds and remaining 50 per cent in three instalments (2015 Dasara, 2016 Ugadi and 2016 Dasara). He said that though the first instalment was released during Dasara, no payment was made during Ugadi.

JAC convener Raji Reddy said that it was also decided to give encashment dues pertaining to 2012 in cash and through bonds with 8.75 per cent for the years 2013, 2014. This was mentioned in the memorandum of settlement but this was not released till now.

Joint convener V S Rao said that the corporation was yet to be bifurcated and this was causing administrative
problems.

He also said that settlement was not done even for the employees who retired in 2013. With strike notice being served, the RTC staff can go on strike any time after May 31.
