Roads and Buildings Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao who recently won the Palair by polls with a landslide majority for the TRS party on Thursday took oath as MLA at Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary’s chamber in Telangana Assembly premises in Hyderabad.

Nageshwar Rao was administered the oath of office by Telangana Assembly Secretary Dr Raja Sadaram. The Minister was accompanied by Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy, legislators from Khammam district including P Ajay, P Venkateshwarlu and other TRS leaders. Several YSRCP MLAs who were at the chamber for Vijay Sai Reddy's Rajya Sabha nomination also congratulated him on this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Thummala Nageswara Rao said that he will not break the trust the people of Palair showed in him and voted him to victory. Thummala Nageswara Rao recently resigned to his MLC post to take the charge as the legislator after his victory of more than 45,000 votes in Palair by polls.
