It said light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in the State from May 31 to June 3, as the trough from Chhattisgarh to south Tamil Nadu across Telangana and south coastal Andhra Pradesh is persisting.
During the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday, rain occurred at isolated places in the State, with Khammam urban receiving 4 cm of rain, Konijerla and Thollada 2 cm each and Enkuru and Julurpad 1 cm each.
The Met office said that there was an appreciable fall in the day temperatures at one or two places in Telangana but they were still above normal at one or two other places. The highest maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius was recorded at Ramagundam and Hanamkonda.
The other recordings of temperatures elsewhere in the State were: Bhadrachalam 43, Adilabad 42, Khammam, Medak, Nalgonda and Nizamabad 41, Hyderabad 39, Mahbubnagar 38, and Hakimpet 37.
