Birkoor (Nizamabad): The coopted member of Birkoor Mandal Majid said that the civil or human rights of the people should not be trampled upon by the government or any other organisation. Participating in the civil rights day celebrations in Bommadevpalli village at Birkoor Mandal in the district on Tuesday, he said that the State government has been implementing several social welfare programmes for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and they should utilise them properly.
Their rights of the SCs, STs, and BCs should not be infringed and untouchability should be eradicated, he added. Sub-Inspector of Police Raj Bharat Reddy, Village sarpanch Gangamani, Mandal SC Cell president Reddy Srinivas and several others were present.
