Prof Krishna Reddy passes away
Prof Dr G Krishna Reddy (52) working in Political Science Department of Osmania University passed away on Saturday due to cardiac arrest. A well-known academician, Reddy was also the Honorary Director, Indian Council for Social Science Research-Southern Region.
Hyderabad: Prof Dr G Krishna Reddy (52) working in Political Science Department of Osmania University passed away on Saturday due to cardiac arrest. A well-known academician, Reddy was also the Honorary Director, Indian Council for Social Science Research-Southern Region.
Reddy did his MA and M Phil from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and Ph D from Osmania University. He has several articles published in the internationally known Oxford University Press on Indian public sphere – structure and transformation and Economic and Political Weekly on topics on social movements, media politics and governance.
He also coordinated in several research projects covering wide range of issues such as status of education of children of scavenging community, Dalit movement in Andhra Pradesh, rural governance and economic reforms in AP.
