Irrigation Minister Harish Rao who is on a whirlwind tour of Karimnagar district inaugurated a model Rythu Bazaar with modern facilities on Sunday and also laid the foundation stone for check dam to be built at Nagunur village in Karimnagar.

Addressing the gathering at Karimnagar, Harish Rao said that the TRS government would complete all irrigation projects and also cater water for irrigation of one crore acres across the state.

Harish Rao was accompanied by Finance Minister Etela Rajender, ZP chairperson Tula Uma, Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar and MLC Laxman Naradasu. The minister alleged that YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had created obstructions and hurdles to stop the construction of projects with the latter exerting pressure on Union ministers.

Harish Rao also said that Telangana government's main aim is to provide water for irrigational purposes for which irrigation projects would be built across Godavari and Krishna rivers.
