Speaking after inaugurating the modernised building of Petbasheerabad police station here on Sunday, Narasimha Reddy said the modernisation of police force was also aimed at empowering people.

Hyderabad: Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy on Sunday said the State government would deploy sophisticated technology in all police stations across the State to make the Police Department more accountable to the citizens.

Speaking after inaugurating the modernised building of Petbasheerabad police station here on Sunday, Narasimha Reddy said the modernisation of police force was also aimed at empowering people.

He said people would be able to lodge their complaints online and no one would fear entering a police station as they used to do before. He said the modernisation improved the functioning of police force.

Lok Sabha MP Malla Reddy, MLAs Vivekanand Goud and Sudheer Reddy, GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand, Additional Commissioner Sashidhar Reddy and other senior officials attended the programme.
