Vivek to rejoin TRS on June 15
In another setback to the Congress in the state, senior leaders including veteran leader late G Venkataswamy’s sons- former MP G Vivek and his brother and former minister G Vinod- are all set to join the TRS.
Hyderabad: In another setback to the Congress in the state, senior leaders including veteran leader late G Venkataswamy’s sons- former MP G Vivek and his brother and former minister G Vinod- are all set to join the TRS.
According to sources, both the leaders are likely to join the TRS either on Monday or on June 15 in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Sources said that a decision to join would depend on the auspicious day. Priests have advised that Monday was not an auspicious day and hence the leaders may decide on June 15.
Earlier, both Vivek and Vinod were in the TRS during the Telangana agitation. The leaders resigned from the TRS and joined the Congress after the formation of Telangana and even contested unsuccessfully on the Congress ticket. Earlier, there were speculations of Vivek joining the TRS during the Warangal Lok Sabha bypoll. However, the Congress high command persuaded him to stay back.
