Former Congress MP and TPCC vice-president Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday alleged that the delay in the High Court bifurcation was due to the inefficiency of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Holding the TRS government responsible for the delay in the bifurcation, Ponnam addressed the media at Gandhi Bhavan where he alleged that KCR failed to convince the Centre and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the last two years with regard to the division of the High Court.

He also flayed the Chief Minister for throwing the blame of delay on either Centre or Chandrababu. Ponnam further demanded KCR to take an all-party delegation to Delhi, stage a dharna at Janthar Mantar demanding division of the High Court and solve the problems of the advocates.

Meanwhile, the Telangana advocates have been continuing with their protests in the state demanding for the separate High Court. Following the protests, 9 judges were suspended and the Chief Minister has written a letter to Home Secretary regarding the issue.
