Telangana advocates and judicial officers on Saturday staged a huge rally from Nizam's Club to Gun Park, in Hyderabad protesting against the suspension by Chief Justice of HC of judges and lawyers, who had taken up the agitation peacefully.

They suggested that the matter of division of High Court (HC) should be done by a committee formed by a neighbouring HC with Telangana and AP judges.

Meanwhile, the retired judges of Telangana staged a silent demonstration at Gun Park in Hyderabad which was joined by the Telangana Lawyers, demanding a division of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Speaking to the media, the lawyers stated that they would immediately join duties if their demands are accepted else the agitation would continue and another demonstration would be held at Jantar-Mantar in New Delhi on the same scale.

They demanded the withdrawal of the suspension of the judges of the lower courts, who participated in the lawyer's agitation. The retired judges demanded to immediately resolve the issue of High Court bifurcation and cancelling the option system for the Andhra Pradesh lawyers.
