Digvijaya Singh: KCR escalating project costs to make money

Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Friday participated in a training programme for the party representatives in local bodies in Hyderabad wherein he alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is escalating the project costs in Telangana just to make money for his family.

Digvijaya Singh said that the Telangana government's projects and irrigation schemes with inflated costs are benefitting KCR's family and friends instead of people. Pointing out that the projects major points include advances and commissions, the Congress leader stated that their party would set up a committee to study the project costs and unnecessary escalation.

Addressing the issue of defection, Digvijaya Singh said that their cadre is intact and only a few leaders have chosen to leave for their personal benefit. He came down heavily on senior leaders like D Srinivas for leaving the party even after being made the PCC chief, MLA, MLC and also a Minister.
