The department said the trough from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh is persisting as was the associated upper air cyclonic circulation. These factors will result in light to moderate rain/thundershowers at many places in Telangana from July 12 to 14.

​Hydeabad: The Meteorological department on Sunday forecast heavy rain at isolated places in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam districts on May 11, as the Southwest Monsoon is active over Telangana. Under the influence of the upper air cyclonic circulation over Odisha and its adjoining areas of Gangetic West Bengal and north-west Bay of Bengal, a low pressure area has formed over Jharkhand and areas of north Odisha.

The department said the trough from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh is persisting as was the associated upper air cyclonic circulation. These factors will result in light to moderate rain/thundershowers at many places in Telangana from July 12 to 14.

There will be no major change in the weather outlook in the subsequent three days. During the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Sunday rain occurred at many places in the State, with Sirpur and Utnoor, in Adilabad district, receiving eight cm of rainfall each. There was seven cm each of rain in Luxettipet, Sarangapur, Chennur, Mancherial, Asifabad, Ramagundam and Kaleswaram.

The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in other parts of the State were: Perur, Boath, Sultanabad, Bhupalapalle, Julapalle, Jagtial, Dharmapuri 5 each, Balakonda, Mepalle, Khanapur, Mallial, Parkal, Navipet, Adilabad, Nirmal, Karimnagar 4 each, Mudhole, Pegadapalle, Nandipet, Mogullapalle, Venkatapuram, Thimmapur, Gangadhara, Armur, Mortad, Jakranpalle, Bheemgal, Sriramsagar and Nizamabad 3 each.

There was two cm rain each in Ibrahimpatnam, Bejjanki, Sircilla, Velpur, Ranjal, Venkatapur, Govindaraopet, Huzurabad, Hasanparthy, Manthani, Bheemadevarapalle, Kammarpalle, Shayampet, Mustabad,Ramayampet, Maddur, Vicarabad, Bodhan, Dharpalle, Dichpalle, Makloor, Nallabelly, Medak, Dubbak, Dharmasagar, Machareddy, Jukkal, Gandhari, Nagareddipet, Domakonda and Atmakur.
