TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has announced a Deeksha for a one-time waiver of farm loans.
Speaking to the media in Hyderabad on Tuesday, the TPCC chief spoke on farmers’ issues, proposed party programmes, internal Congress feuds, public issues and others.
Mr Reddy informed he has not decided on the date, but will take up the one-day Deeksha in Hyderabad this month adding that Congress would stand by affected farmers and ensure adequate compensation. He also said that the party would organise Rythu Garjana meeting at Adilabad on July 30.
Speaking on the carving of new districts, Uttam Kumar Reddy remarked that there is no need for such urgency to carve new districts but it is being done only according to whims and fancies of some.
He further accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of dividing districts for each of the family members.
