Education bandh called today in Telangana
Student organizations have called for an education bandh on Thursday demanding the Telangana government to fulfill the promise of implementing KG to PG free education in the state.
Student organizations have called for an education bandh on Thursday demanding the Telangana government to fulfill the promise of implementing KG to PG free education in the state.
Organizations such as All India Students Federation, Students Federation of India and Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika called for the bandh in all the educational institutions in support of their demand.
The Students Federation of India stated that their major demands are to implement the promise of KG to PG scheme, the promise of KG to PG scheme and governmental educational institutions should be improved.
They said that the government has neglected their peaceful protests, hence have taken the call for educational bandh for the demands to be implemented. In view of the bandh, a holiday was declared in most of the schools while few CBSE and ICSE schools declared bandh on Thursday morning. Due to today's bandh, schools will function on Saturday.
