Hyderabad: Director General of Police Anurag Sharma on Thursday held a video conference with the District Superintendents of Police to review the arrangements being made for conducting the Physical Efficiency Test for recruitment of police constables in the State.

He congratulated the SPs for transparently conducting the Preliminary and Physical Efficiency Tests for Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Sub-Inspectors recruitment. The PET for SIs concluded on Wednesday in the State.

The DGP asked the SPs to be more attentive as the number of constables attending the test would be more. “Sufficient staff shall be deployed in the grounds to avoid disturbances and the 800-metre running to the male candidates shall be conducted on the first day itself and those who are qualified shall be called for second day for their certificate verifications.

The records must be maintained properly,” he said. The DGP has specified that the women candidates who come on the first day for PET and qualified for second day for certificate verifications shall not stay at the venue and their night halt arrangements must be looked after by themselves.

The DGP has also reviewed the arrangements for ensuing Krishna Pushkaralu with Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda police. He advised the SPs to take all precautionary measures by discussing with higher officials from time to time.

TSLPRB Chairman Dr Purnachandra Rao, ADGP (Law & Order) Anjani Kumar, Additional Commissioner Shiva Prasad, SP Rajendra Kumar and others attended the video conference.
