Minister Ramanna told the officials to pay special attention to the saplings by pouring water regularly till they survive and set up fences around the saplings for protection from grazing animal. 

Nalgonda: Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna directed the officials to protect all the saplings planted under Haritha Haram. Along with district Minister Jagadish Reddy, he conducted a review meeting on Haritha Haram with district officials at the Collectorate meeting hall here on Tuesday.

Minister Ramanna told the officials to pay special attention to the saplings by pouring water regularly till they survive and set up fences around the saplings for protection from grazing animal.

He advised the officials to plant saplings of 1.5 meters length and to take care of them while transporting from nursery. The government was planning to plant 290 crores of saplings in the next three years under Haritha Haram programme.

Earlier, Ministers Jogu Ramanna and Jagadish Reddy inaugurated the Neelagiri Nandanavanam Park at BTS in the town, which is stretched in 40 acres of land and established with a cost of Rs 1.50 crore.District in-charge Collector Dr N Satyanarayana, forest department officials, AJC Venkat Rao and others participated in the review meeting.
