Telangana Govt finalises action plan for Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project
The State government has finalised an action plan for the execution and completion of works on the prestigious Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) within 18 months.
​Hyderabad: The State government has finalised an action plan for the execution and completion of works on the prestigious Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) within 18 months.
Irrigation minister T Harish Rao held a meeting with all officials and discussed in detail the progress in the plans prepared for the project.
He asked the officials to begin works from October this year and establish camps at the project sites at the earliest. Stating that the agreements with the agencies and also the project designs would be finalised in five days, the Minister said that the land acquisition for Medigadda and Sundilla- Annaram projects would be completed at the earliest in order to speed up the projects.
Meanwhile, Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) convened a meeting with the irrigation officials of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday to sort out water-sharing and project management issues on River Krishna, between the two States.
