Hyderabad: A computer processing unit containing ‘important data’ went missing from the office of MA&UD Minister K Taraka Rama Rao in Secretariat on Thursday.
A police complaint was lodged by Gayatri Devi, in-charge of ‘C’ section in the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department located on the first floor of ‘D’ Block in Telangana Secretariat stating that one CPU with important data was missing since Thursday morning.
The Saifabad police, who rushed to the Secretariat to investigate the case, were disappointed as the CCTV cameras near the D block were not functioning. Though they questioned several employees, they could not make any headway. A detailed investigation is underway.
