Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the meeting of BJP workers in Hyderabad on August 7.

During a press conference here on Saturday, BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar said Prime Minister would address party workers and unveil plan to strengthen party in Telangana.

He also informed that BJP National President Amit Shah would address a massive rally on September 17 on the occasion of Hyderabad Liberation Day.

The MLA further added that several union ministers would visit Hyderabad during August and throw light on various Central schemes being implemented in the State.

Meanwhile, a meeting of State BJP office bearers and district unit presidents was held on Saturday to discuss the arrangements for the Prime Minister's visit. Prabhakar hoped that Modi's visit would boost party’s expansion drive in Telangana.

The BJP MLA also accused the State government of diverting Central funds. He said the Centre was contributing about 50 per cent of funds for pensions, 55 per cent funds for rice scheme and nearly 60 per cent for scholarships. However, the TRS government was not utilising the funds properly and diverting them.

Jaitley to inaugurate Hyd campus of SIU
