The reasons for the ISIS elements using this app are pointed out to be the security-related factors, deletion of chat messages and uploading capacity. The Hyderabad modules used Telegram and had numerous groups with titles such as Memoirs of Mujahideen, Bus News, Caliphate Cyber Army and Radical Girl.
Muzafar Hussain Rizwan, the IS operative in Hyderabad confessed before the judge at the Secunderabad Criminal Court under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code which cannot be retracted.
