Cops should continually develop efficiencies
With newer challenges arising out of increasing population, rapid urbanisation, new economic and social laws, ever increasing traffic and cyber crime offences, the Indian police will have to continually evolve and develop efficiencies to keep crime under control and provide safety and security to the public, said Director-General of Police Anurag Sharma.

The DGP was speaking to a gathering of 47 senior police officials after inaugurating the SMART Policing workshop at the Rao Bahadur Venkata Rama Reddy (RBVRR) Telangana State Police Academy on Tuesday.
“The Strict and Sensitive, Modern and Mobile, Alert and Accountable, Reliable and Responsive, Techno Savvy and Trained (SMART), are inter-dependent. It is more important for police to be sensitive and reliable,” the DGP said.
