Take preventive measures Collector tells officials
Addressing the officials of various departments in the town on Wednesday, she directed them to come up with a plan of action to tackle seasonal diseases like dengue, viral fevers, and diarroeha, especially during the rainy season. They should also create awareness among the people about those diseases in the villages, she added.
Nizamabad: District Collector Yogitha Rana cautioned the district officials to take precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak of seasonal diseases during this rainy season.
Addressing the officials of various departments in the town on Wednesday, she directed them to come up with a plan of action to tackle seasonal diseases like dengue, viral fevers, and diarroeha, especially during the rainy season. They should also create awareness among the people about those diseases in the villages, she added.
The District Collector said that sanitary arrangements should be made every Friday to clean up the localities and prevent leakages from damaged pipelines and pit taps.
Steps should be taken to prevent water logging in the premises of houses, she added. She told them to coordinate with the ASHA workers, anganwadi supervisors, ANMs and panchayat secretaries and IKP cluster workers to maintain cleanliness in the district.
Collector Rana said that training should be provided to the field staff to take appropriate measures to tackle the diseases and prevent an epidemic in the district.
