City Congress president Rajanala Srihari has demanded the government identifying and punishing the miscreants, who vandalised ‘Anthasthula Bhavi ’, a well of Kakatiya times on Fort Warangal road at Shiva Nagar searching for hidden treasures.

Responding over a news report published in The Hans India, he along with several Congress workers visited the structure and inspected a portion of the well destroyed by miscreants.
Speaking to press persons on the occasion, he expressed anguish at the failure of the officials concerned to act even after three days passed since the incident occurred.
It was sad that a historic structure located in the city amid residential colonies was damaged by treasure hunters. But none were arrested so far for the act.
There was an urgent need to protect all Kakatiya constructions, he said.
He wanted the government to initiate immediate steps to develop the well and to preserve it for future generations.
