​New Delhi: TRS MP K Keshava Rao on Thursday questioned the delay in the implementation of the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act as Telangana was suffering a lot because of the delay in the full implementation of all provisions.
Speaking on the short discussion on the Special Category Status to AP in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, Keshava Rao used it to raise the issues and concerns of Telangana "which was also suffering badly due to the bifurcation".
Delay in implementing the provisions of the Act, including in the bifurcation of employees, assets and liabilities, in putting in place proper water sharing arrangement, and above all, in the bifurcation of the High Court, Telangana was facing difficulties in every sense.
People of Telangana agitated for long to secure Statehood for Telangana and students employees and all other sections took part in the agitations for long. Yet, the same injustices were being perpetuated by not implementing the Reorganisation Act provisions fully and in letter and spirit.
