Nalgonda: ABVP leaders lashed out at the State government over the leakage of EAMCET-2 and demanded resignations of Health Minister Laxma Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiam Srihari holding them responsible.

On Saturday, activists of the ABVP laid siege to the Collectorate protesting over the EAMCET-2 leakage.

Addressing the gathering, district ABVP convener said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao inducted highly corrupt persons in his cabinet.

He said that the State government was playing with the lives of genuine rankers in the name of scrapping the exam.

He demanded stern action against the culprits in the leakage issue and a CBI probe to nab the bigwigs and politicians involved in the Rs 500 crore worth leakage scam.

Later, a scuffle broke out between students and police when the former tried to enter the Collectorate crossing the fence arranged by the police.

To control the mob, police canned the students and few leaders sustained severe injuries during the lathi charge. The police arrested the leaders and activists of the ABVP and shifted them to Nalgonda One-Town police station.

Student leaders condemned the brutal police action on them.
