Dr Gongura Venkateswarlu of Khammam on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a school building in the village, initiated by Sri Raksha Charities under the joint auspices of HMTV and The Hans India.

Addressing the gathering, he said that he was moved by the plight of the Yellanna Nagar residents. Lions District Vice-president Kapa Muralikrishna who visited the village after reading the story announced that he was adopting the village for providing health and education facilities.
