Karimnagar: Each student should take the responsibility of planting and nurturing at least one plant to increase green cover, suggested Finance Minister Eatala Rajender.

He, along with MP Vinod Kumar, MLA Gangula Kamalakar, Mayor Sardar Ravinder Singh, ZP Chairperson Tula Uma, District Collector Neetu Prasad, Corporator Choppari Jayasri and Municipal Commissioner, attended as the chief guest at the Haritha Haram programme in Siddartha High School in Bhagath Nagar in Karimnagar town on Thursday.

Siddartha High Schooland Venkateswara Colony has jointly organised the programme.

The other guests appealed the students and others to raise trees, without which mankind cannot exist. School Academic Director Dasari Sripal Reddy observed that whatever work children start will become a success.

‘That is why, we made children to participate in the programme,’ he added.

Later, Finance Minister planted saplings on the school premises.
