Kavitha opens Telangana Jagruti meet
The tenth annual conference of the Telangana Jagruti was inaugurated by its founder-president Kalvakuntla Kavitha, MP, at Lakshmi Gardens here on Friday. She paid floral tributes to the statue of Telangana ideologue Prof Jayashankar.

The gathering observed two minutes silence to mourn the death of Telangana martyrs. A large number of poets, artists, advocates and delegates from within the country and abroad attended the ceremony. They included Deviprasad and Nandini Sidda Reddy.
Earlier, the MP inaugurated a skill development centre run under the PMKVY. Speaking on the occasion, she said 1,800 persons had been provided employment by the Telangana Jagruti so far and that Rs 2,500 was being paid every month to each family of 360 farmers who committed suicide during the last four years.
