He received a ‘Rama Koti’ as a birthday gift from a Muslim, called Mohammed Yakub Pasha, who was said to be diehard fan of the Mayor.
He got inspired at the Mayor’s rags to riches story and wanted to do something exceptional commemorating his birth day.

Hailing from Warangal and working as a painter, he learnt about the Mayor’s birthday falling on August 5 and has started writing ‘Rama Koti’ (writing Lord Rama’s name for one crore times) one month ago.

He presented it to Narender during a birthday ceremony held at the GWMC council hall on Friday. Speaking to press persons on the occasion, Pasha said he chose to write Rama Koti wishing the wellbeing of the Mayor, who from being a worker in a bakery has now become the first citizen of Warangal.

‘I will go to Bhadrachalam to present the Rama Koti to the presiding deity,’ he added. ‘I am moved at the love and affection shown by Pasha and it’s a memorable gift for me,’

the Mayor said. Marking his first birthday as the Mayor, Narender donated uniforms and other material worth Rs 55, 000 to the students of Siva Nagar Government School.

The staff and officials of the Corporation have organised a grand celebration at the council hall. Deputy Mayor Khaja Sirajuddin, Municipal Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmad, Additional Commissioner Shahid Masood and corporators have greeted the Mayor.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Narender said ever since he assumed the post he has been treating the corporation employees and officials as his family members and it was very happy celebrate his birthday with them.

The Mayors’ wife Vani Narender, children Lokesh Patel, Manupreet Patel and others also joined the celebrations. At a programme held at Bhadrakali temple, MLA D Vinay Bhasker greeted the Mayor and wished him a long life.
