SP presents cheques to cops.
District Superintendent of Police P Vishwa Prasad distributed cheques, the financial assistance that they were entitled to under the death fund scheme to the families of policemen who died in service here on Friday.
Nizamabad: District Superintendent of Police P Vishwa Prasad distributed cheques, the financial assistance that they were entitled to under the death fund scheme to the families of policemen who died in service here on Friday.
He presented a cheque for Rs 2, 07,900 to Ch Vasantha, the widow of A R Constable C H Purushottam, who died of heart attack on May 24, this year.
The Superintendent of Police also presented a cheque for Rs 2, 06, 100 to Rajitha, the widow of constable P Mahender who also died of heart attack at his home on June 26, this year.
The meeting was organised under the aegis of the Dsitrict Police Association.
District Administrative officer M D Ghulam Ghouse Moinuddin, District Police Association President Shakeel Pasha and their families were present on the occassion.
