Warangal: The UPSC Civil Services preliminary examination went off peacefully here on Sunday.
According to a statement of District Collector Vakati Karuna, 10,858 candidates had applied for the exam.
While 4,264 candidates took the Paper-I, 4216 have attended the Paper-II in 23 examination centres.
This is the first time that a Civil Services exam held in Warangal. The exam went off without any untoward incident.
District Collector Vakati Karuna and Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu visited the Arts College at Hanamkonda, the venue of the examination.
