230 RTC buses to Pushkar ghats
Informing this to the media here on Thursday, TSRTC Regional Manager Krishna Hari said majority of the people likely to visit Wadapally, Nagarjuna Sagar and Mattapally, the main Pushkar ghats, for a holy dip. Hence, it was decided to run 105 buses from Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Suryapet and Yadagirigutta to Nagarjuna Sagar.
Nalgonda: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) Nalgonda region will run 230 buses daily from various places to the 28 pushkar ghats in the district and also operate free shuttle buses from parking places to the ghats.
Informing this to the media here on Thursday, TSRTC Regional Manager Krishna Hari said majority of the people likely to visit Wadapally, Nagarjuna Sagar and Mattapally, the main Pushkar ghats, for a holy dip. Hence, it was decided to run 105 buses from Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Suryapet and Yadagirigutta to Nagarjuna Sagar.
Other regions of TSRTC also will operate 150 buses to Nagarjuna Sagar from the towns of their regions. In addition to this, 32 buses would be operated from Miryalaguda, Suryapet and Yadagirigutta to Wadapally. About 40 buses would be run from Kodad, Huzurnagar and Suryapet to Mattapally.
Informing that parking places are a few kilometers away from pushkar ghats, the Regional Manager said the RTC will run free shuttle buses from parking places to the ghats for the convenience of the devotees.
About 60 shuttle buses would be run from Pottichelma parking place to ghats at Nagarjuna Sagar while 20 shuttle buses from Bathulapalem parking place to ghats at Wadapally.
Similarly, 25 shuttle buses would be run from Sultanpur thanda parking place to ghats at Mattapally,
he added.
For the remaining ghats, 5 to 10 buses would be arranged depending on the demand, he added. Krishna Hari suggested the people to choose RTC buses for travelling during Krishna Pushkaralu as they would drop the passengers nearer to the ghats than private vehicles.
